Looshkin 3 and Phoenix Festival!

There’s a lot going on.

Hello everyone!

It’s been a busy couple of months for me. As an artist on the BBC 500 Words contest I got to meet the Queen, and actual Loki (I was very excited about actual Loki). I also got married, which was the best day of my life. We found out this week that I’ve sold over a million books now with DFB Publishing (that’s a lot, right? That sounds like a lot). Oh and I’m having a pond built under my studio window, which is VERY exciting for me.

But there is other news too! Namely the third Looshkin book was released this week (suitably titled Honk If You See It). It’s currently sitting at number three on the UK children’s chart which is amazing, and it looks like this:

Between you and me, I haven’t drawn any new Looshkins recently, so this is likely to be the last Looshkin book for a while. But I love this one, I think it’s the best yet!

Also, every year The Phoenix puts on a comic making festival in Oxford, and invites all us comic artists to put on workshops and do signings and it’s so much fun. And every year the tickets go super fast and people end up disappointed. So this year The Phoenix are going bigger, bigger venue, more tickets, so hopefully everyone who wants to come can do.

They’ve just announced today that the tickets will go on sale on 22nd of this month, so if you want to come along please do set yourself a reminder for it! The festival itself will be just a single day this year (on 20th July, day before my birthday), but it’s going to be absurdly good fun. Details below!
